Project Introduction

Darwinia Network is a decentralized heterogeneous cross-chain bridge protocol built on Substrate, serves as critical infrastructure for interoperability across the blockchain networks. Darwinia Network focuses on decentralized cross-chain token swap, exchange, and market and enables single-chain application upgrade to cross-chain version, including Defi, Game, DEX, NFT market, and more. History

Darwinia Network project started in late 2018 when Parity started the Substrate toolkit project.
Darwinia implements a decentralized network that acts as a chain relay between major blockchains and enables asset transfers in a decentralized and permissionless way without any need for custodians.
▪ Darwinia operates as Polkadot’s Parachain and has an ability to function as an independent network with its own consensus security and cross-chain functionality in case of Polkadot’s malfunctions.
▪ The team has developed an Application SDK based on Polkadot’s substrate and Darwinia Web applications in order to facilitate the development of different applications on the foundation of the Darwinia Network. This will allow to bootstrap the adoption and among non-blockchain users and developers.
▪ Darwinia has already launched MainNet.
▪ The Progressive Launch of Darwinia Mainnet has reached the third stage: the bi-directional “Darwinia-Ethereum Bridge.”
